Penguin Random House India and Thinkers created a platform called Thinkers Sandbox that aimed to celebrate some of the most distinguished minds in the country in the field of ‘Economics and Governance’.
The first session saw economists and thought leaders of the likes of Gurcharan Das, Rakesh Mohan, Bimal Jalan, Sanjeev Sanyal, Paranjoy Guha Thakurta, Arun Kumar and Amit Kapoor share the stage with journalists and authors such as Sandeep Gurumuthi, Tamal Bandyopadhyay, Uday Mahurkar and Sonu Bhasin at The Imperial, New Delhi. The speakers presented and discussed several issues concerning India at 70 and the initiatives that need to be taken for short and long term governance.
Thinkers Sandbox also witnessed the unveiling of Gurcharan Das’ 10 Extraordinary Tales of Trade that gives an in-depth view of business communities in India and Bimal Jalan’s latest book India: Priorities for the Future, a formidable analysis of India’s economic journey in the last four decades.
