The eagerly- awaited Chennai Book Fair, organised by The Book Sellers and Publishers Association of South India (BAPASI) is now into its 41st year. The 13-day festival was inaugurated by State Education Minister K A Sengottaiyan on 10 January and went on till the 22nd of the month. A big attraction this year was the unveiling of the statue of saint-poet Thiruvallur at the venue by K Pandiarajan, Minister for Tamil Official Language and Tamil Culture. With 700 stalls and over 10 lakh titles to choose from, book lovers had plenty to cheer about this year.
